Tonight I was thinking about some women I know,
who were raised by very domineering Mom's or Step Mom's.
In a word their Mom's bullied them.
Cow'd them down
and restrained their voices.
And as grown women,
whenever they are around domineering women,
they, by default
Give up their Power.
I just happened to be thinking of these specific women tonight,
but sometimes it's the Dad
that is domineering,
and sometimes it's the son's
whose true voices are quelled.
And these parents are an affront
to their children's Spirits..
They create adults that give their Voice
and power away.
Our voice is our Truth
Our true voice is our Gift to
the All.
But when we give our power away,
we hold back our Truth,
afraid of confrontation,
afraid we might offend.
So we are not honest...
we are not being true to ourselves
or the world.
My Mom always said,
"if you don't have anything "good" to say,
don't say anything."
But what she meant was,
"If you have anything to say that I won't agree with,
or that scares me in my little tiny fear based reality,
don't say it" .
As a family,
we didn't talk,
we NEVER had real conversations,
because basically
Everything scared my Mom.
There was zero evolution in that home.
Children that have been bullied,
dominated over by their parents,
can soon become disconnected
from themselves.
"People Pleasers"
were probably bullied kids.
But our gift to the World,
is the Truth of who we are,
not that person that we hold up
to make others comfortable..
It's time for Honesty.
Don't give your power away.
Speak your Truth,
and if it offends.....
tough shit!.
Your job in the world is not to make others comfortable,
in their descriptions of reality.
Your job is to stand in integrity,
with yours.
You are not wrong, and they right.
We are all RIGHT.
The truth is that it is all Perspective,
and no one is right and the other wrong...
The cosmic truth is,
THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER RIGHT.
The truth of the Whole,
depends upon the honesty of all it's parts.
No two in all creation,
have exactly the same perspective,
that's the plan Stan.
But the combined perspectives,
are the only real Truth.
Ponder that...
So Speak your honest truth,
especially if you are being bullied.
Speak from your truth
and be in Integrity
with your soul.
If "they" can't handle it,
too freakin bad, Chad.
Because you need to speak it,
and they need to hear it.
We are all in this Together.
And if we hold back,
out of Fear of Hurting,
or being hurt....
then We all Suffer,
we all lose.
Your voice is Sacred.
Your view is Sacred.
And so is everyone else's.
Stand strong in your Truth,
and listen to "their" voices.
This is how we evolve.
Like Emerson said, and I paraphrase,
Speak your Truth strongly today,
and tomorrow speak strongly the Truth
of tomorrow.
Allow yourself the dignity of who you are in any given moment,
even though we are ever changing and growing,
because this is your Gift to US ALL.
Parents, don't dominate your children,
your view is no more important that theirs.
And Kids,
and grown kids,
quit giving away your voice and power.
Speak your Truth without Fear.
