Note to Rhonda

Blogger wouldn't let me put this in the reply to you, maybe too many words. Got a weird thing said it couldn't accept my HTML... So I'll past it here.
For other readers this is some discussion on methods of "Going into the Light".
Hey Rhonda,
I wouldn't start with ideas or concepts...too easy to get distracted and fall into thoughts. It's best to start with something very simple, with little possibility of distraction. Depending on if you are more visual or auditory. Visual: Find a place of total darkness...TOTAL, so there's no hint of Light. Putting your tongue on the roof of your mouth can be helpful.. Keep your eyes open, look in front of you like you are looking up through your third eye. Keeps thoughts quiet, see the Light there...let go into it.  Don't try too hard...It's there and it's not a matter of trying as much as totally relaxing and letting it be, and getting past the mental thing that says there is no light in the darkness....  Another method is sit in a place where all that is in your field of vision is a blank white wall. So that's all you can see... Let go into the whiteness. Let go into that.....

If you are more auditory, Get somewhere quiet, plug your ears... but listen with your whole body until you hear ...... the sound of Vibration....  It's there as well, it's not a matter of trying but of getting past a lifetime of covering it up, of being so used to it that you don't notice it any more.
This sound is the Light on a different level and you can let go into that until it fills every cell in you...and expands out and fills Eternity.

The eventual result is our more natural pure state which is Blissful.

There are difficulties: the identification we have with the body.... we think we must hear with our ears, or see with our eyes...but this isn't really the case here.
We are also very tightly bound to our definition of the world, which in reality has little to do with what is, yet we adhere to it's rules, and when we stray beyond it's boundaries.... the Unfathomable on the other side, gives us fear.
The thing is Seeing the Light, or Hearing the sound is beyond our comfort zone... and it is not accomplished with our usual means of perception.  We are accustomed to perceiving through our physical organs but going into this we have to understand that it's not going to work that way... it's not going to be like anything we've .....known before.... so the letting go can be difficult.   Plus once you have let go to a certain point... you cease being who you were, and in contemplation actually merge with what you are contemplating.  For humans accustomed to their narrow band of awareness, this can be very frightening and stops most folks. If you are vigilant you will recognize the point where your perception shifts from the old mode to the new. It can be kind of a weird, disorienting feeling. So I don't know, depending upon how you work, bravery might be a key, or Faith, or a "scientific" understanding of the process, or just a willful pushing forward. Another type of person expands through Love, some through Devotion, some through what you might call Ceremonial Magic ...and order. There's basically 7 main ..... routes, which one is best for an individual depends on just where they are in evolution.
Yeah, and the "writing" you mentioned is part of the fear mechanism, keeps us grounded in our old way of thinking and perceiving...when the point is to get beyond that.   I had some pretty .... hmmm, funny experience with this.  I was taught many different methods of getting to the Light, and experienced them  ....  But I made a big mistake that I call my Humpty Dumpty Episode that .... really messed me up, and after that episode every time I went to Meditate I'd start doing it using some particular method..... then just as I was about to go into the Light part of me would say, "do this other method"...which I'd then do, taking it right to the edge, and then saying again, try this method.   So I'd do a whole bunch of techniques, but wouldn't let them bring me all the way.   There is a really good book, it's called, "this is Reality".  I'm sure it's out of print, but you could probably find it on Amazon, I saw it there once, loaned mine to someone and never got it back.  Anyway it's another translation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and unlike Alice Baileys, it's in a language that anybody can understand. I think it'd blow you away.  It's written by Roy Eugene Davis, I think he was a student of Paramahansa Yogananda, who was a pretty hip dude.
Did you say you lived in Southern Oregon.... Grants Pass, That's where Taryn's Dad and step Mom live I'm pretty sure.
Anyway I've been up since 4 am, and it's gettin late.
Many Blessings,
Jeff

  1. Hi Jeff,
I do believe I like the idea of trying both ways. I am more visual than auditory, but "hearing" intrigues me. I will practice it it both ways. But man, did I really want to become that thunder storm =D There are blocks I have been working to release that I believe have everything to do with how I used to identify with myself, and I feel that these methods will really help.

I just read your Coming Out of the Scary Closet and am in awe of all your experiences. You are on one incredibly journey!

If it makes it easier to reply I can give you my e-mail address. Rather than post it on here I can convo it to you on Etsy. I have a shop on there too, but don't add items like I should. I am FabFiberDesign. I don't mind having our discussions on here for others to read, it might help someone else too, so just let me know which you prefer.

    Bright Blessings,
    Rhonda

  2. Sure, I think doing it here is fine.... Yeah, contemplating the storm would be amazing. Wind under the right conditions works pretty well. Yep, one incredible journey it's been....and is. When I do art, dance or make music are the most common ways I come up against my "Blocks". A cool thing though is, if a person can learn to go into the Light....that illuminates and dissolves those blocks. Each time a person goes into the Light, when they come back, they are a little different. It can be difficult for folks in our lives...and even ourselves because we get used to ,"who we are"... And even though we are a better person each time, change can be scary. I'll admit I took it a little too fast, spent too much time in the Light.... I just couldn't see what the problem would be and just wanted to ,"be Enlightened".... But then I learned that it's not really an individual thing, we are part of a group of souls who make the big step together. So rushing to it really doesn't work, everything in it's time. And also it takes time for our personalities to come into sync. with our souls, time for us to deal with our own changes.

    1. even though we experience ourself as seperate individual beings ,that is still a concept. nothing wrong with us experiencing seperation from infinity. that seperation is still a concept. just the way it is. a paradox. paradox is difficult to get for most people. someone said that we dont experience energy ,just ''effects'' of ''energy''. also ,electricity is no different than life ''energy''. well thats the ''point'' of non dualism. we tend to think there are differnces between life and other energies. non dual. never thought of the idea that electricity and radio waves is no different than ''us''. some people eat dinner at 3 a.m.

  4. just a note-- been doing reading. the moment we believe that we are alive, we are dead! when we believe we exist, we step out of the absolute unpercieveable infinite that has no ground but still is. havent ''practiced'' that idea yet much but here we go. so the fact that we think we exist ,takes us away from the infinite. the infinite is not a concept . so believing we are alive, takes us away from whatever. we identify with the dreamlike concepts of what we presume is ''life''. you can take what ever ideas and express it your own way rather than publish it if you want. you seem to point out things that are similar and makes others say things from what they read.

  5. Hey Jeff,

Sorry it's been a while since I wrote but being summertime busy and having dial up internet greatly reduce my computer time. I have been meditating and wanted to let you know that it's going really well. I started "listening" and have been hearing what I can only describe as the sound from crystal singing bowls. It's beautiful! At first I hear it, then it runs through me, then it is me. Awesome stuff!

I've discovered that I have resistance to expanding my consciousness. Not sure why yet, but I think there is a buried fear. Possibly of seeing just how magnificent I am and we all are. I've been setting an intention to see and be who I really am no matter how beautiful it is. I heard that from Rev. Michelle at my church, Center for Spiritual Living. I've also started working with her on clearing old thought patterns from my past. We had our first session last week and it was quite enlightening. All in all, I am really enjoying this journey and am grateful for all my teachers, you being the newest in my life.

    Namaste,
    Rhonda

  6. Hey Rhonda...
Awesome, you are right on It.
Yeah, that Resistance. I know what you mean.
I don't know how old you are in this current body and Life, but it seems to me you are doing what I call, "getting caught up to your previous Life". This generally happens to folks more in their Twenties.... But these days are very special days, and the Pressure of the Light....so to speak....is Waking Up a lot of folks at all different ages. But the reason I mention this is that I don't believe your soul are treading new ground for you... but rather getting caught up to where you were in your previous Life, or in between that one and this one. So what you are really doing is letting Go into what your soul already knows. And if you have made it to the Light in a Previous time... that Resistance can have bunch of reasons.
For me.... Well it's a little hard to explain, but even as Full of Ecstasy the Light is, even as it Allows us to Feel the All and Be the All.... There is a tremendous Loneliness upon returning from there. I mean when you Know, when you have experienced something to that Degree.... and not one single person in maybe 1000 or more have a clue what you are talking about, and most think you are crazy... It's freakin Lonely. And you just so badly want others to Know and experience It.... but there is no motivation for them..... And historically folks who have Experienced genuine Spiritual Awakenings.... we terribly feared, and a major threat to the status quo. So if you are like me you could have some really nasty past life memories that were the result of ..... the Fear others had of the Experience that we had.
Whatever.... there is also the Fear of Leaving the body...of dying, because when we die the experience is a lot like when we are awakened....and we've died a heck of a lot more times than we've been awakened.... so we tend to remember that on a cellular level...and relate it to the Awakening experience of Going towards the Light in Meditation.
It's been a long long day and I've been up since way b4 the sun, and it's about midnight....time to Hit the Hay.
Many blessings to you Rhonda.... You have no idea how hearing your progress gladdens my Heart.... You are on it.

  7. Well, that all resonates with me on a deep level, and makes complete sense. Letting go is a daily practice for me. It's crazy how locked into old habits we are and it amazes me each time I recognize that I am holding on to an old pattern. I do feel that many of them are from a previous life and then reinforced in the earlier stages of this life. I used to have such a strong fear of facing them in order to release them, but now I think it's great!! It feels amazing to shine light on it, thank it and recognize the Truth of it. One of the practices I've been doing is seeing the error of the thought and replacing it with the Truth.

I am 46 in this life, and a late bloomer. I have always felt out of step with the majority of society and while that used to bother me, I fully embrace it now. I've never known what I wanted to "be" or "do" in this life and I didn't even discover felting until a year ago. It has become such a huge and passion filled part of my life now.

Well, this internet connection is making me feel a bit irritated so I think I shall go meditate and swim in good thoughts for a while.

    Hugs to you!
    Rhonda
